Clarifying Agent BT-9803

1. Introduction
Clarifying agent BT-9803 is a high performance sorbitol based clarifying agent that reduces haze and enhances the clarity of polypropylene through nucleation of the polymer. This also leads to enhanced stiffness of the molded part and to shorter cycle time during the molding process. BT-9803 is the 2nd Generation with improved quality and nearly same as Millad 3988 .

2. Features/Benefits
Clarifying agent BT-9803 is used for producing high clarity polypropylene. The product acts as a clarifying agent, by creating a large number of small size spherulites (<1μm) during the cooling of the polypropylene melt. These small spherulites lead to a polypropylene that has greatly improved clarity and reduces haze compared to polypropylene which is not clarified. It is ideal for food contact applications. This kind of products of such structural formula has been approved by FDA allowable using in food contacts in the world market.

4. Industrial Use
Clarifying agent BT-9803 is high effective clarifying agent for polypropylene homopolymer,random copolymer. Clarifying agent BT-9803 could be blended with polypropylene powder though the dry mixing or the master batch and it gives high transparency and improves mechanical properties, heat resistance. The notified chemical will be applied in thin wall injection moulding, film sheet extrusion, blow moulding and rotational moulding.
Clarifying agent BT-9803 helped make polypropylene more appealing to consumers and increased its usefulness through improved transparency. Leading injection molding markets, the following products can be produced, including housewares, storage cases, living hinge cases, thin-wall containers and disposable syringes and clarified polypropylene blow molded bottles for pharmaceuticals, spices, juices, sauces, vitamins, and baby bottles.
The dosage for Homo PP, Random copolymer PP is recommended between 0.2%--0.3%.

5. Packing and Storage
Every 10 kg are packed in one kraft paper bag with PE liner, and single PE bag inside.
To be stored under condition of shade, cool and dry with temperature of ≤35°C.
